Reflections on translation
Not the easiest text to translate. The text is rugged and direct. At the same time it has some powerful images, not easy to transfer into Norwegian. Brass bed is "messingseng", but the word is not very much used in Norwegian. I chose to use himmelseng (a "heaven bed") instead, and hope it gives you the feeling of something spacious and generous.
