Det er lov å vone, iallfall har eg teke sjansen på å kjøpe Hattfjelldalsrose, William Shakespearerose, rhododendrum og nokre andre plantar som kan pynte opp i blomebedet. Det har vore nokre dagar med betre ver og så snart nordlendigen ser litt til sola, vert han med ein gong fortulla og trur at alt veks må vite. Var på vitjing hos Kari på Bjarkøy og då måtte vi innom gartneria på Grytøy for å finne plantar til hagane våre. Det skal bli spanande å sjå om dei trivs på Sortland.
English: The coming of summer is overdue, but hope for the better is still alive. I have taken the chance on buying the roses of Hattfjelldal and William Shakespeare, rhododendron and sundry other plants to put in the garden. We have had some days of reasonably fine weather, and as soon as the Northerners sees the sun, we go quite crazy and think everything will grow. Visited my friend Kari on the island Bjarkøy, and the we went for a shopping spree at the plant nurseries at Grytøya, another island. It´s exciting to see if they will find my garden a place to grow.
